Privacy Policy - ArchiveR
ArchiveR (“we”, “our”, “us”) respects your privacy. This Policy explains what information is processed, how it is used, and your rights.
1. Data Processing Overview
ArchiveR is designed to operate primarily on-device.
Core inventory functionality works locally on your device.
No account system is currently required
No cloud sync is currently used
No backend database is used for core inventory storage
We do not collect personal data such as email, name, or account credentials
Some optional metadata lookup features may connect to third-party public data providers when explicitly initiated by the user.
2. Locally Stored Data (On-Device Only)
The app uses local device storage and SQLite database storage to function properly. This data does not leave your device unless you manually export it.
Stored data may include:

Scanned codes are processed locally to:
- Link products/items
- Recognize previously saved inventory
- Open linked item or location records
- Create custom ArchiveR QR mappings
ArchiveR-generated QR codes contain only compact identifiers, not full inventory data.
5. Optional Metadata Lookup Services
ArchiveR may offer optional metadata lookup features to help populate item information.
Examples may include:
- Book metadata lookup
- Food product metadata lookup
- Video game metadata lookup
These lookups occur only when explicitly initiated by the user.
Limited lookup information such as barcode, ISBN, or search queries may be sent directly to the relevant third-party service solely to complete the requested lookup.
Imported metadata remains editable by the user.
Core app functionality does not depend on external metadata services.
6. Advertising & Tracking
ArchiveR displays advertisements via Google AdMob.
Google AdMob may process limited technical information in accordance with Google’s privacy practices, which may include:
- Device identifiers
- Advertising identifiers where applicable
- App interaction data

7. Subscriptions & Payments
ArchiveR currently does not offer subscriptions or in-app purchases.
If premium features or paid services are introduced in future versions, this Policy will be updated accordingly.
8. Third-Party Services
ArchiveR may use external third-party services such as:
- Google AdMob for advertising
- Optional metadata lookup providers
These services operate under their own privacy policies.
9. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not share your locally stored inventory data with third parties.
Third-party communication may occur only when:
- Advertisements are served
- The user explicitly performs metadata lookup requests
10. Data Retention & Deletion
All app data is stored locally on your device.
Data remains until:
- You delete it manually
- You reset app data
- You uninstall the app
Uninstalling the app removes locally stored app data, subject to your device platform behavior.
Exported backups created by the user remain under the user’s control.
11. User Rights
Since ArchiveR primarily stores data locally:
- You control your stored inventory data directly
- You may edit or delete your data at any time
- Uninstalling the app removes local app data
For third-party advertising or metadata services, relevant rights are governed by those providers.
12. Data Security
ArchiveR is designed to minimize privacy risk by storing core data locally on your device.
However, no software environment can guarantee absolute security.
Users are responsible for securing their own devices and exported backups.
13. Children’s Privacy
ArchiveR is intended for users aged 13 and above.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
14. International Data Transfer
Core inventory data remains on your device.
If advertising services or optional metadata lookup services are used, limited technical data may be processed by third-party providers in jurisdictions outside your country.
